WHAT’S TO LIKE ABOUT THEM?

1. Ease of use. Pretty much fool proof for flying, photography, and photo/video editing.
2. Hard to crash. Anti-crash sensors, and return to home function. Winning.
3. Flight time. You can fly close to 1/2 an hour… and up to 7 km away
4. They camera and video. Check out the video from DJI… it’s the one that convinced me to buy:

They’re not the cheapest drone on the market… you’re looking a couple of hundred dollars either side of $2K depending on the whether you go the Pro, Pro 2 or Platinum.

Like I mentioned above:

Drones are either toys or flying photography machines.

The DJI Spark?

This is the best drone to get if you’re after something that’s not an over-priced toy.

WHAT’S TO LIKE ABOUT THEM?

1. The Price. Buying a cheap drone for $200-$300 will waste your money… for a couple of hundred more this is a bargain.
2. They’re tiny. For the technology you get they are an amazing drone. Not too far off the Mavic series of drones to be honest.
3. Easiest to use. Launch from the palm of your hand and take some photos. That simple.
4. Hard to crash. Like their big brothers, it also has the anti-crash sensors and return to home functions.
5. Perfect for family pics and travel highlights. Launch, take photos and video, and return. Results are amazing.

WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THEM?

You won’t get the same flight time as the Mavic Pro. You won’t get as far. They’re more susceptible to high winds.

If you want a dedicated controller (instead of using your phone or gesture mode) you have to get one separately

But:

That’s okay if you’re after something that’s simple, and want to capture your travel highlights.

WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK?

It doesn’t have quite the same raving reviews as the Mavic Pro… people expect A LOT out of it.

I’ve tried flying my drone with just my phone instead of a controller…

…if you’re going to get the Spark, I’d REALLY recommend getting a controller.

3. Mavic Air: The Best Drone For Caravan and Camping… All Round?

If someone asked me what the best drone for caravan and camping was on the market right now?

This would be my answer.

And to be honest:

I think it’s BETTER than the Mavic Pro that costs more.

WHAT’S TO LIKE ABOUT THEM?

1. Size. Its in between the Mavic Pro and the Spark. This makes it a bit easier to carry, but the main thing…
2. It’s compact. The gimbal is completely housed inside the body (so you can put it in your bag or pocket, even without a protective case)
3. Ease of launching. Because you don’t need a special bag, it’s quicker get out and up in the air to capture those opportune shots.
4. Features. Anti-crash sensors, return to home, great cameras, same distance… it’s pretty much as smaller Mavic Pro.
5. The Price. You get a lot of drone for your money here. About 2/3 the price of the Mavic drones… but check this out:

WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THEM?

It doesn’t quite have the same flight time as the Mavic Pro (27 mins vs. 21 mins), and it’s a little slower on the climb and horizontal speed. But hey… is 60 km/h slow?!

They have a rating of 4.5 out of 5… solid. They get great reviews from people who are newer to drones because:

They have better crash avoidance technology than the Mavic Pro, they’re smaller, and are cheaper…
